In pictures: Pro-Turkey militants loot timber and iron beams from Hasharka Bridge in Rajo, Afrin

Private sources sent afrinpost pictures showing the scale of theft of the “Heşargê/ Hasharka” bridge of the Orient Express, which is 450 meters long near the village of Maska in Rajo district and was built in 1912.

The pro-Turkey “Ninth Division” militia affiliated with the “National Army” and led by “Abdul Nasser Jalal Shalouh” stole wood, beams and rails from the bridge, as part of a policy of sabotaging the region’s infrastructure and historical monuments, according to report issued by the Unity Party’s.

The process of dismantling the railways began with the pro-Turkey factions taking control of Afrin region in March 2018, as part of the railways in the villages of Rajo district was dismantled.
