For the third consecutive day, the occupied city of Afrin is witnessing tension between the Memati group affiliated with the Turkish-backed “Sultan Murad” militia and the Abu Al-Eis group affiliated with “Liwaa Al-Shamal” militia near the Newroz roundabout due to a dispute over two houses seized from the original Kurdish residents of Afrin.
Our reporter stated that the two groups disagreed over two houses located within the “Sultan Murad” militia sector. The members of the Abu Al-Eis group affiliated with the “Liwaa Al-Shamal” militia attempted to seize them, and yesterday evening, Tuesday, the two parties opened fire indiscriminately, which spreaded panic among the people in Al-Mahmoudiya nighborhood.
