Two people arrested after returning from Aleppo to their village in Afrin

The Turkish authorities arrested two citizens upon their return from the city of Aleppo in early July 2022, on charges of working with the former Autonomous Administration in the occupied region of Afrin.

According to our reporter, the Turkish authorities arrested today, Thursday, “Mustafa Abdo” (45 years old) and the doctor “Mahmoud Khalil” (41 years old), from their home in the village of Kurzele. The two citizens had returned to Afrin after being displaced from it during the Turkish aggression on the region,

“Doctor “Mahmoud Khalil” was released about a week ago, while the citizen “Mustafa Abdo” is still under arrest in Marate prison,” the reporter added.
