Large-scale campaign to steal olives by pro-Turkey “al-Hamzah Division” militia in Afrin, Syria

The Turkish-backed “al-Hamza Division” in coordination with IDPs brought in byTurkey, are stealing olive crops in the fields located between the villages of Kafar Shil and Marate near Afrin city, especially those located in the vicinity of Marate Central Prison.

Other IDPs, who reside in al-Ashrafieh camp, located near the water tank in the neighborhood, steal the olive harvest of the people of Qibar and Jumke villages at night.

In Bulbul sub-district, an olive field (of about 90 olive trees) owned by the Kurdish citizen Muhammad Omar, from the village of Hasandera, was stolen. The field is located near the village quarry. The olive crop in the field (of about 100 trees) of his brother “Nuri Omar” was also stolen in the same area, bringing the total looted crop to 75 olive sacks.
