Militants and IDPs brought in by Turkey trade in Kurds’ properties in Afrin

Our team monitored a number of buying and selling operations of Kurdish citizens’ homes by militants and IDPs, who were brought in by Turkey.

Our reporter stated that an IDP from Al-Hulluk neighborhood in Aleppo city refuses to hand over the house of the Kurdish citizen (Abdul Rahman Alo) from the village of Gundê Dîkê, although he submitted a complaint to the Civil Police and the so-called “Rights Restitution Committee”

The reporter monitored also a number of sales of the property of the Kurdish people of Afrin, as follows:

An armed member of the Turkish-backed “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia sold the house of the Kurdish citizen, Muhammad Horik, from the village of Kutono, for $1,400. The house is located near the Turkish base in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood.

Last week, a gunman of “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia sold the house of the Kurdish citizen Salah Mukhtar, from the village of Qurtqilaq. The house is located on al-Feel Street in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, and it was sold for $1,500.

An IDP from the occupied Jarablus region sold the house of the Kurdish citizen (Ahmed Alo) from the village of Gundê Qêsim, for 1000 dollars. The house is located near al-Qaws entrance, while the buyer is another IDP from the city of Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib countryside.

Another gunman in the security forces of the “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia sold the house of the Kurdish citizen, Muhammad Hajji, nicknamed Kozem. The house is located in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, and the buyer is an IDP from Eastern Ghouta.

An armed member of al-Jabha al-Shamiya militia sold the house of citizen Jawhar Muhammad Daoud (Shekhamouk) to an IDP from Idlib governorate from a group called “Abu Turab” for $1,200.
