IDPs, brought in by Turkey, continue to steal and trade in displaced Kurds’ properties in Afrin

Our reporter stated that an IDP from “Tal Daman” in the southern countryside of Aleppo sold the house of the Kurdish citizen “Muhammad Omar Khelo” – from the people of Khlinir – to another IDP from Hama, for $900, knowing that the house is located near the Saleh Al-Ali School in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood.

In addition, an IDP from Homs, “a Turkmen”, sold the house of the displaced Kurdish citizen “Jihad Muhammad” – from the village of Qurbe/Jenderes – to another IDP from the town of Khan al-Asal for $750, noting that the house is on a ground floor and is located above the industrial area in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood.

It is reported that the city center of Afrin is witnessing widespread thefts of people’s properties, including the theft of a house at the Qabban roundabout by a gunmen from al-Osso group, affiliated with the Turkish-backed “al-Jabha al-Shamiya”. Many household contents were stolen from the house, including: solar panels, an electrical transformer, batteries, two gas cylinders and a plasma screen.

A coffee and Espresso machine was also stolen in the industrial area, owned by the citizen “Nidal Muhammad,” from the village of Marate-Afrin. Also, 3 motorbikes were stolen in al-Ashrafieh nighborhood and two others in Al-Vellat Street.
