afrinpost – Exclusive

Our reliable sources revealed that the construction works of a new settlement village in Sherawa sub-district has begun, the third project of its kind, to settle families of the pro-Turkey “civil police” militiamen.

According to the sources, the new settlement village is located in a forested area on the road between the villages of Kobaleh – and Xalta / Al-Khalidiya in Sherawa sub- district and near the “Al-Qarya Al-Shamiya” settlement project, where the bulldozers started uprooting trees and leveling the land in preparation for the construction of the settlement for the “City Police” militiamen and their families. .

Last Thursday, 10/6/2021, the militia opened the registration for apartments in the village, and the number of registered militants has so far reached 40.

The new project is funded by the Qatari Red Crescent, and implemented by Sham Charity Association, one of the branches of the Muslim Brotherhood organization.

The financing and executing authority is responsible for securing all building materials, cladding and equipment, provided that the registered militants pay the wages of the workers only, knowing that each house is 150 square metres.

While our correspondent in the city of Afrin monitored a number of IDP families from the countryside of Damascus, who were occupying houses in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, moved to the “Al-Qarya Al-Shamiya” settlement and settled there, pointing out that the IDPs did not hand over the houses they occupied to their owners, instead, they rented them to other IDPs for their own benefit.
