Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE), on Thursday, revealed the outcome of the operations carried out by their forces during the period between March 19 and April 7, 2021, against the Turkish forces and its Islamic militias, and the operations resulted in the killing and wounding of 24 soldiers and militants.
Today, Thursday, 4/8/2021, the Afrin Liberation Forces issued a written statement, in which they confirmed the killing of 9 Turkish soldiers and 5 Turkish-backed militants.
The statement stated that the Afrin liberation forces carried out several operations in response to the Turkish army’s escalated shelling of the villages in Shara and Sherawa districts during “Newroz” period, as follows:
On 3/19/2021, an operation was carried out in Al-Zeydiyah neighborhood in Afrin, killing two militants and wounding a third.
On 3/20/2021, a vehicle belonging to the militants was destroyed.
On 3/24/2021, an operation was carried out in the village of Qizilbasha in Bulbul district, which resulted in the death of tow armed men, injury of a third, in addition, and destruction of a vehicle.
On 3/28/2021, a special operation was carried out targeting the headquarters of the Turkish occupation army in the town of Marea, killing 4 Turkish army soldiers and wounding two others, and two military sites of the Turkish occupation army were destroyed. On the same day, an operation was carried out against Turkish-backed militants in the village of Jalameh in Jenderes district, resulting in the death of a gunman.
On 7/4/2021, an operation was carried out against a base of the Turkish occupation army in the town of Marea, which resulted in the death of a Turkish soldier and the injury of three others, in addition to the destruction of a military vehicle.
“The Turkish occupation army and its militias escalated the shelling on Wednesday 4/7/2021, which resulted in the injury of a number of civilians, including a child. And in response to the Turkish shelling, on 4/7/2021, a special operation was carried out against a group of Turkish occupation army soldiers in the village of Gobale in Afrin, killing 4 soldiers of the occupation army and wounding 5 others.” The statement added.
The total losses of the Turkish occupation army and its affiliated militia, in the operations carried out by the Afrin Liberation Forces resulted in the killing of 9 Turkish occupation army soldiers and 5 militants, and the wounding of 10 Turkish soldiers and two militants.
