6 Kurds arbitrary arrested in Afrin, including a family from Satya village

afrinpost” has learned from its own sources yesterday, Thursday, that the Turkish authorities had arrested about a month and a half ago (late February 2021) a Kurdish family from the village of Satya – Mobata / Maabatli district, while its fate is still unknown to this day.

“The Turkish intelligence had arrested the Kurdish citizen “Jaafar Muhammad”, his wife and his son, “Ahmed Muhammad,” and the charge directed against the family members and the destination to which they were taken were not known.” The sources pointed out.

On the other hand, the security checkpoint of the Turkish authorities (the Political Security Department of the Civil Police) at the junction of the village of Terenda, on Monday noon 5/4/2021, arrested the Kurdish citizen Amir Mustafa Jenji (27 years) from the village of Marate-Afrin Center, while returning from Basuta town after distributing relief aid with his colleagues in Shafak Relief Organization, as he was taken to the militia headquarters in Afrin, and the reason for his arrest and his fate is not known, according to the Human Rights Organization – Afrin.

In a related context, on Sunday morning 4/4/2021, the security checkpoint of the Turkish-backed “Faylaq al-Sham” militia at al-Qaws checkpoint – the eastern entrance to Afrin kidnapped the Kurdish citizen Muhammad Misto (50 years old) from the village of Epla- Bulbul district.

The kidnapping took place while the citizen “Misto” was visiting the city of Afrin, accompanied by his wife and children. Where he was charged with dealing with the former Autonomous Administration, and was taken to an unknown destination.

afrinpost also documented the arrest of Mustafa Rasheed, 40 years old, by the Terenda checkpoint (southern entrance to Afrin), while on his way from his place of residence in the village of Terenda to his workplace in the city of Afrin, where he was detained for several hours and then was released. Noting that the citizen “Mustafa” was kidnapped three times by the Turkish-backed militias in previous times.
