Harassing a Kurdish moneychanger in Afrin under the pretext of dealing with the PYD

afrinpost – Exclusive

afrinpost reporter learned that a Kurdish moneychanger is constantly being harassed by the militants of “Sultan Murad” militia under the pretext of its dealings with the PYD, since most of the transfers coming to him are from Kurdish customers!

The reporter explained that Farid Haji is subjected to repeated harassment by the Sultan Murad militia because of receiving transfers sent from expatriates to his shop in Rajo Road in Afrin.

The reporter added that the Sultan Murad militia had kidnapped the citizen Farid Hajji about three months ago, and at that time gave him the option of paying 20 thousand dollars as a ransom or facing the charge of dealing with PYD and thus seizing his home and his shop, and it seems that he was released after obeying the militia’s conditions.

The reporter added that Farid Hajji is now being repeatedly harassed by the militia, adding: “He is openly accused of dealing with the PYD without any proof, it seems that the militia has gone bankrupt and that it wants to arrest the citizen and ask him for another ransom.”
