Syrian regime forces responds by shelling Afrin and causing casualties

The Turkish occupation forces and its Islamic militias shelled villages in al-Shahba areas and Sherawa district, while the regime’s army responded by shelling points in the occupied city of Afrin, one of which fell on Ahrar al-Sharqiya militia headquarters on the western highway.

The Syrian regime’s army shelled the center of Afrin city with missiles yesterday, Wednesday, in response to the shelling of the Turkish forces and its Islamic militias on several sites in al-Shahba areas in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

“Several shells hit the center of occupied Afrin, one of them at the entrance to Avrin Hospital (al-Shifa), the vicinity of the hospital, the so-called Security Square, Amusement Park, the western highway, and on Ahrar al-Sharqiya militia’s headquarters”, our reporter in Afrin explained.

The source added that a state of panic and chaos spread among the pro-Turkey armed groups, and 11 armed men were wounded.

The regime forces’ shelling of the occupied Afrin came after the Turkish army and its Islamic militias shelled the villages of Tal Sussin, Tal Qarah and the surrounding of Sardam camp inhabited by forcibly displaced people from Afrin.

In addition, the Islamic militias shelled the villages of Sughanake, Aqiba and the vicinity of the village of Bene in Sherawa district, from their stationing points in Afrin.
