The Turkish occupation and the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood are continuing their efforts to spread extremism in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria, since its occupation more than two and a half years ago, by promoting ideas that incite violence and reduce the value of women within society, and are taught in Quran memorization institutes and mosques that they have opened especially for women.
According to the correspondent of “Afrinpost”, the curricula adopted in these centers, regardless of their names, entrench the inferiority, subordination and imperfection of girls, which is completely different to the nature of the Kurdish women in Afrin, who are characterized by courage, self-confidence and giving knowledge the priority in their lives, as the Muslim Brotherhood centers are inciting on hatred and belittling of females in favor of glorifying males, by providing extremist examples and justifications.
A picture of a page within a book was shared on social media, which the correspondent of “Afrinlost” confirmed that it is one of the books prepared by the Muslim Brotherhood militias for teaching in the institutes for memorizing the Quran, which was opened by the organization under the auspices of the Turkish occupation in Afrin.
The reporter indicated that the Turkish organizations are spreading these ideas that incite violence, hatred, and racism in society, and they transformed the Schingel center, located on Rajo Road, into a center for memorizing the Qur’an, where these curricula were adopted.
The reporter confirmed that the Turkish occupation allocated women from Ghouta to give lessons, and the reporter was able to obtain the names of some of the teachers there, who are (Nour al-Huda, Amal, and Doaa).
