The process of transferring the Syrian mercenaries of the Turkish occupation militias linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, from the occupied Afrin region to Azerbaijan, continues, despite talk of reaching a ceasefire brokered by Russia, starting last Saturday.
Afrinpost correspondent reported that a group of forty mercenaries affiliated with “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia set off this morning, Monday, the twelfth of October, from Mahmudiyah neighborhood in the city of Afrin to Hiwar Kilis, the border area of Azaz, in preparation for transporting them to Azerbaijan through Turkish airports.
The reporter added that a mourning tent had been set up in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood for armed men belonging to a group called “Naim,” which is affiliated with the “al-Shamiya Front” militia, who had been killed in the recent battles between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced Friday, October 9, 2020 that during the past two days, more than 26 Syrian mercenaries were killed in the ongoing clashes in the region, bringing the total death toll among the Syrian mercenaries loyal to Turkey in the battles of the Nagorno Karabakh region to 107 mercenaries.
