“The Third Legion” militia cut down 500 olive trees and hundreds of oak trees in “Anab”

The Afrinpost correspondent in the “Shara / Sharan” district reported that the “Third Legion” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria, cut nearly 500 olive trees belonging to civilians, and hundreds of Oak trees in the village of Anab of the district.

The reporter indicated that militia gunmen sell firewood in a shop in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, next to the garden in front of an internet shop named “Rais” and added: “The militants cut olive and trees of the people and sell them to them, where a ton of dry firewood is sold for 115 US dollars,” and the Afrinpost got pictures of oak wood in the shop.

The Turkish occupation and its militias continue to violate the nature in Afrin by cutting down its trees. Several days ago, Afrinpost documented that Turkey cut 300 trees in the Qizilbasha village of Bulbula district, in addition to cutting trees in the village of “Zaareh” and selling them in shops in the district center ”

The Turkish occupation had cut down dozens of trees to build its bases and a separation wall between Afrin and Al-Shahba, which caused great harm to the indigenous inhabitants of the region.

The occupied Kurdish region is witnessing continuous cutting of forest trees and perennial olive trees by Islamic militants and their settler families. The correspondents of Afrinpost had indicated in earlier times that the occupation militias cut down forest trees as well as olives belonging to the displaced of Afrin, and collect firewood in centers on the outskirts of villages with the aim of selling them and exporting the rest to Turkey.
