A young woman from “Gunde Qesim” and a young man from “Jenderes” were kidnapped

Yesterday, Friday, “Ahrar Al-Sharqiya” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization kidnapped a young Kurdish woman, “Maryam Evdik Sheikho,” from the village of “Qesim / Qasim” in Rajo district in the countryside of the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria, whose fate is still unknown.

In a related context, the “Sultan Murad Division” militia, on the 16th of this month, kidnapped the 25-year-old Kurdish “Murad Abdul Rahman Rashid” from the people of Jenderes district, whose fate is still unknown.

The Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a way to obtain money, and it is one of the methods they have followed since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.

While it has become clear that the arrest, release, and then re-arrest operations are nothing but a new financial means of extortion against the Kurdish kidnapped for several times, as the occupation tries to legitimize it, and to legalize the ransom money, by acquiring a financial guarantee from the detainee in exchange for each release, otherwise the Kurd will be sacrificed as a hostage to the authorities representing the occupation, until he is able to pay the royalty that is imposed through mock courts.

The courts of the occupation and the militants of the Muslim Brotherhood do not have any credibility with the indigenous Kurdish residents of Afrin, as they assert that they are mock courts, whose only mission is to legitimize kidnapping, ransom, and seize the property of the displaced of Afrin, usurp their rights and grant them to settlers.
