The women of the village of “Qarah Gul” teach a settler a lesson and prevent him from stealing

A group of Kurdish women from the village of “Qarah Gul” affiliated to “Bulbul” district in the countryside of the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria attacked a settler who was stealing figs from the orchard of a Kurdish citizen of the village.

The correspondent of “Afrinpost” in the Bulbul center stated that the Turkish occupation, its militias and the settlers in the village are causing great distress to the people of the village of “Qarah Kula”, but the people are not silent about their right.

The reporter indicated that a settler from Ghouta was stealing the figs from the orchard of the citizen “Abu Staif,” who is a Kurd from the village, last Monday, and that the wife of the landowner tried to prevent him, but the settler did not stop what he was doing.

The reporter added, “The wife went and brought several women from the village, with sticks, and they beat the settler and expelled him from the land.”

The reporter pointed out that the settlers are used to steal civilian property and not being confronted by anyone, given their support from the Turkish occupation and the militias, but this time was different from all times after enough was enough for the indigenous Kurds.

The residents of “Qarah Kul” had previously attacked a checkpoint of the “Suqour al-Sham militia,” which occupies the village, after repeated disturbances to them.

Over time, cases of social solidarity among the indigenous Kurdish population in Afrin villages are increasing, especially after the people got acquainted with the majority of the militants, and their possession of a store of information about them. The thing that broke the fear of militants among the people of the villages, was the fact that the militants are nothing but former thieves.
