On June 30, the Turkish occupation intelligence and the “Military Police” militia arrested a young Kurdish citizen, under the pretext of belonging to the military forces during the previous “autonomous-administration” period, and took him to the “Marateh” prison.
The Afrinpost correspondent stated that a joint patrol of the Turkish Intelligence and the “Military Police” militia arrested the citizen “Abd al-Rahman Numan (Barazi)” from his home in the vicinity of the Postal Corporation in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, and took him to prison.
The Kurdish citizen, “Numan”, is 35 years old, and he is a resident of the village “Bouzikeh”, which belongs to the area of “Jenderes”.
The reporter added that “Abd al-Rahman Numan” was arrested twice earlier, which had been forced during the last time by him, “Military Police” militia to pay the amount of 3100 Turkish liras before his release, and then was re-arrested for the third time.
Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a means of obtaining money, which is one of the methods they followed since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.
