Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood known as the “Syrian National Army” carry out violations against the Kurdish indigenous people in the occupied region of Afrin, through kidnappings, torture and enforced disappearances, which occur in front of the silent international community.
In this context, the Afrinpost correspondent in the “Shieh / Sheikh Al-Hadid” district revealed that the Al-Waqas Brigade militia kidnapped a Kurdish youth from his home in the Anqaleh village of the district yesterday, under the pretext of belonging to “People Protection Units” YPG , ”and took him to the militia’s security prison in the district.
The reporter stated that the young man, “Sheikho Abdin Ahmed / 18 years old”, was kidnapped yesterday from his home, and he was taken to the security prison of the “Al-Waqas” militia located in the village of Marwaniya Al-Ma’rouf located on the Marwaniya-Shieh road.
Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a means of obtaining money, which is one of the methods they followed since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.
On Monday, the 27th of April, the “Sultan Suleiman Shah / Amshaat Brigade” militia kidnapped five Kurdish citizens, including three brothers in the village of “Chaqala” of the “Shieh” district, demanding $ 3,000 for each of them.
