4 dead in an ammunition depot explosion in the city of Nubl

Afrinpost – Special

Yesterday, Friday, the explosion of a weapons and ammunition depot in the city of Nubl, north of Aleppo, killed 4 people and wounded 16, in addition to material damage.

According to the Afrinpost correspondent, the explosion took place in a weapons and ammunition depot in the city of “Nubl” that is under the control of militias directly affiliated to Iran, and does not consider itself even part of the Syrian regime forces.

To that, the areas of Shahba witnessed yesterday, Friday, the flight of unidentified warplanes without any air strikes.

It is known that during the humanitarian crisis resulting from the occupation of Afrin, smugglers from the towns of Nubl and Zahraa exploited the conditions of the displaced, by imposing large sums of money to smuggle the displaced from Afrin to Aleppo or east of the Euphrates.

This came as a result of the Syrian regime preventing the people of Afrin from going to Aleppo, as the Syrian regime tried to take revenge on “self-administration” by charging accusations to it, to evade its national responsibilities, by invoking the latter’s prevention from going to defend Afrin.

The “self-administration” had demanded the regime in January 2018, to carry out its national duties in the joint defense of Afrin, but it required the “administration” to dissolve itself, and that the “People’s Protection Units” hand over their weapons, in a compliance agreement that was intended by eliminating the rights of the Syrian components to manage themselves.
