Will the international coalition forces return to their bases in Kobani and Raqqa?

Afrinpost – Special

The Afrinpost learned from its sources that the American forces that lead the international coalition against ISIS are repairing two military bases in which the coalition forces were stationed, even before the start of the Turkish aggression against the cities of Ras Al-Ain / Sare Kaniyeh and Tal Abiad / Gre Sppi on October 9, 2019.

The sources pointed out that the American forces began several days ago to communicate with those who were working previously, in the “Al-Jazzra” bases in Raqqa, and “Kharab Al-Ishq” in “Kobani”, and asked them to return to work with them, if the restoration work on these two military bases is completed to return to them gradually.

The sources indicated that the “Syrian Democratic Forces” provided conditions for the return of the American forces to the two bases without revealing those conditions.

In this regard, observers told the “Afrinpost” that these steps may come within the framework of Russian-American differences, and they can be considered as a reaction to the inconveniences Russia is doing against the Americans in the areas of Al-Jazeera.

Aircraft belonging to the International Alliance, the evening of the fourth of April, carried out airdrop operation of logistical and military supplies to its bases in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Several planes unloaded the international coalition led by the United States of America, emptied its cargo through airdrops near the (Al-Omar) oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, to be distributed to military bases in the “Al-Omar” and “Koniko” fields.

This came in conjunction with the entry of dozens of trucks loaded with logistical materials and military equipment into the regions of northern and eastern Syria, coming through the Kurdistan region of Iraq, where its cargo was emptied in each of the bases Qasrak (25 km) north of Hasaka, and the Al-Shadadi base (60 km) south.

The international coalition confirms the continued support of its forces for the “Syrian Democratic Forces” in the framework of the efforts made to fight the cells of “ISIS”, in the north and east of Syria, but it ignores the classification of Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood known as the “Syrian National Army” knowing that they are practicing the same terrorism that was practiced by ISIS.
