Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to steal, loot and blackmail civilians present in the occupied Kurdish Afrin region in northern Syria, to compel the indigenous Kurdish population to leave their areas in a systematic policy pursued by the militias and under the full supervision of the Turkish occupation.
In this context, gunmen from the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia assaulted a Kurdish grocery store owner and his sons today, because of their refusal to submit to a food robbing of his shop, which the militants tried to do, according to the Afrinpost reporter.
The reporter stated that an armed man from the “Al-Awsu” group affiliated to the militia of the “Al-Shamiya Front” tried to take away foodstuffs (without money) from the grocery store of the Kurdish citizen “Abu Shawkat” located in the vicinity of Azadi Square, but that he expelled the armed man, who after that brought a number of gunmen and beat him and his two sons (Shawkat and Ali).
Islamic militia militants seek to create an atmosphere of intimidation about themselves among the Kurdish indigenous population, by carrying out collective encroachment operations against them, in order to prevent them from responding to their persistent and varied violations, including theft, robbery, looting, appropriation, power and possession of items without paying money.
