The “Hamzat” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood arrested a Kurdish citizen in the village of the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, because of his refusal to operate his generator, in protest against the settlers ’refusal to pay the contributions due.
The Afrinpost correspondent in Jenderes explained that the members of the “Hamzat” militia arrested the owner of an electric generator in a village belonging to the district and subjected him to beatings and torture because of his refusal to operate the generator due to the accumulation of debts on him as a result of the refusal of the settlers who occupy sixty houses in the village to pay their weekly contributions to be paid in order to provide them with amperes electrical.
The armed men and their relatives of settlers in villages, towns and cities throughout the region don’t pay their dues from water, electricity and municipal services bills, and in other side, the occupation institutions concerned to collect the bills from the remainder of the Kurdish population only.
