The Turkish occupation forces and Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood continue to plunder the natural resources of the occupied Kurdish Afrin region in northern Syria, from the archaeological sites in the hills and valleys of the region and the agricultural and forestry wealth in it, and then transferred to Turkey.
Where special sources reported to the agency “North Press” that huge drilling mechanisms belonging to the Turkish occupation forces began digging in the hill of Aranda village of the Shieh / Sheikh Al-Hadid district, in search of antiquities, in order to steal and distort the history of the region by distorting the evidence according to its interests.
The agency sources also confirmed that the Turkish occupation forces uprooted / 180 / olive trees in the vicinity of the Communication Tower in the village of Qarah Tapeh, in order to expand its military base there.
The sources added that the occupation forces had uprooted 120 olive trees from the same site earlier, but recently they completed the uprooting of the rest of the trees in the field belonging to the Kurdish citizen Hanan Mukhtar, bringing the total of trees to / 300 / fruitful trees.
Members of the “Failaq Al-Sham” militia which occupies the village of Dikeh, in the district of “Bulbula / Bulbul”, cut 20 completely olive trees down in the field at the junction of the “Qasim” village from the side of the “Sheikh” village of Raju district, which is owned by The Kurdish citizen Hussein Habash, a resident of the village of Dikeh.
The “Human Rights Organization in Afrin” stated that about 30 people from the Raju district protested in front of the district’s military headquarters on the twentieth of this month, over the demand to stop cutting trees.
This followed a protest by about 100 men and women in the Bulbula / Bulbul district on January 12, in front of the military base of the occupation in the district center and demanding that those who cut down trees be held accountable.
In the context of the theft of the ruins of Afrin, the militias of “Sultan Suleiman Shah – Al-Amshaat” continued at the beginning of this January, digging inside the old mosque – Al-Tahtani neighborhood in the center of the “Shieh / Sheikh Al-Hadid” district, where it was covered with signs to hide what is going on in it, in search of finds and treasures Precious, since it is known that the mosque’s land and houses south of it contain ancient ruins.
At the beginning of November 2019, a settler named “Mohammed Al-Aloush”, who came from Idlib governorate, showed pictures of mosaic paintings, he did not comment on anything on his Facebook page, but he responded to the comments of his friends who inquired about the location of the paintings, where he answered that they are in Nabi Hori.
The Turkish occupation seeks to steal or destroy all relics that belong to the world human heritage, as it did when it bombed during the invasion of Afrin in January 2018, the archeological hills of Ain Dara archeological blocks, which is the same hill that the Muslim Brotherhood militia turned into a military training ground, without The lowest regard for the importance of these historical sites for all of humanity.
The facts in Afrin confirm that the settlers and gunmen carry out indiscriminate excavation in Afrin, where they are not afraid to be tracked by the Turkish occupation because they are working for them, while the settler’s review of the ruins that were found in Nabi Huri was another evidence of the indifference with which they viewed the The International community and its institutions, who are silent on all the crimes committed against the people of Afrin, which has led them to reveal themselves and their activities without fear of any prosecution.
