Pro-Turkish websites and Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood said that most European countries cut off financial support for the so-called “Syrian National Coalition” (which represents the Muslim Brotherhood and pro-Ankara Turkmen groups) because of its support for the Turkish invasion of the areas of self-administration in North Syria, which was called the “Spring of Peace”.
The Turkish media said that “cutting off financial support for the Syrian coalition because of its position in favor of the (Spring of Peace) process, which led to a suffocating financial crisis and a budget deficit, especially as the coalition suffers from pressure of expenses after opening an office in the Syrian interior.
The sources emphasized that “the coalition was forced to give up a number of its employees and dispense with their services due to the financial crisis that is taking place, as it tries to reduce the salaries of it employees .Adding that “this measure comes after similar threats to impose sanctions on military militias affiliated with the so-called” National Army “, which participated in the foray Nabaa al-Salam (Spring of Peace).
The Brotherhood coalition had previously lowered the salaries of its employees due to the decrease in international financial support to it, so that the last cut of financial support increases its financial and administrative burdens and its ability to more activity and effectiveness (according to the occupation media).
