The Military Police militia, at the request of the “Hamza Squad” militia, which is affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, launched a campaign of arrests and raids last Thursday in the village of Marateh of the Afrin Center
The Afrinpost correspondent said that the militants surrounded the village during the storming operation, as the house raids resulted in the arrest of ten citizens, including a woman, who are: Salah Maamo, Rezan Ali, Saeed Al-Ayoubi, Hanan Janji, Salah Rasho, Ahmed Amo, Ali Khalil, Ahmad Bazu, Ahmad Qaliq, and Rukan Misto.
Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a means of obtaining money, which is one of the methods they followed since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.
Where the Islamic militia seeks through the kidnappings to raise funds by imposing financial ransoms on the families of the kidnapees, and to prepend the charges prepared for them, such as dealing with the YPG or self-management previously.
