The so-called “local council” of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, issued a circular to reduce the number of hours of home lighting in half, after the huge rise in prices of diesel fuel, as a result of the Turkish invasion of northern Syria controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces.
According to the correspondent of “Afrin Post” in the center of the region, the local occupation council circulated a decision to the owners of electric generators, requiring the operation of generators of amperes for five hours a day, at the price / 1500 / SP per ampere per week, after the duration of lighting ten hours.
The price of a barrel of diesel / diesel reached about 95 thousand Syrian pounds, while the price of a liter of gasoline between 550-600 Syrian pounds.
The reason for the rise in fuel prices is due to taxes imposed by the Turkish occupation militias on fuel tanks coming from areas of east of the Euphrates, and to a lesser extent to the interruption of the international road due to the Turkish invasion.
The high price of diesel has cast a shadow on many aspects of life, especially with the approaching winter, which has increased the suffering of the indigenous Kurds in the occupied Afrin province, where they face these violations and crimes committed by militants of Islamic militias, in addition to the policy of impoverishment based on theft and high prices.
