Muslim militias affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood consider that all the property of civilians who have been displaced from their homes under Turkish bombardment and bullets are legitimate spoils.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Monday that the violations of Islamic militias continue to steal and loot the property of citizens by stealing the contents of houses that have been abandoned by people, also shops and livestock.
Kidnappings continue to escalate against the residents of the area, demanding ransom from their relatives in return for their release, as well as beatings and insults of civilians on the pretext that they are loyal to the SDF, amid widespread public discontent with these violations, which is no different from what is being witnessed in Afrin and its countryside in northern Syria.
The Syrian Observatory added that the Islamic militias known as (Free Army, National Army) of the Turkish occupation continue their violations within the areas of “Gire Spi / Tal Abyad” at the border strip in the northern countryside of Raqqa, where it said that groups of militias deliberately steal houses after displacement of their inhabitants as a result of the Turkish invasion called “Spring of Peace”, in addition to burning after rampaging.
The theft of livestock is also taking place in the villages of Gire Spi / Tel Abyad, reminiscent of the practices of these militias during the occupation of Afrin and the rampaging of the property of the people and the ongoing violations there.
In the context of intimidation by Islamic militias in order to intimidate the indigenous population of the occupied territories in order to displace them and bring their relatives to settle in their place, reliable sources of the Syrian Observatory confirmed that the Islamic militias of the Turkish occupation kidnapped an elderly citizen, her husband and a child in the village of Gaida in Tal Abyad.
The gunmen demanded a financial ransom of 10 million Syrian pounds, as they have already liquidated five members of the elderly family in the region.
In Sere Kaniye / Ras al-Ain, sources told the Syrian Observatory that gunmen from the militia of the Hamza Division of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood kidnapped a young man named Mohammed al-Aboud in the Tal Halaf area after he refused to hand over his bike. He is being held in a house next to al-Hassan Gas Station, where the house was seized as a headquarters for the militia of al-Hamza.
The Observatory sources also revealed another violation of the Hamza squad in Sariyat Kaneh / Ras al-Ain, where militiamen stole a car owned by Hamad al-Khalaf and stole more than one mobile phone. According to the sources, al-Khalaf is a civilian who has no political or military activity. He is also an Arab, not a Kurd.
