According to our correspondent, the Military Police detained Omar Mohammed Dawood (38), a resident of the village of Qurtqlaq in Sharan sub-district, on charges of having been a member of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) under the previous Autonomous Administration. Dawood recently returned from Lebanon to Afrin.
Additionally, three days prior, the Military Police also arrested Khalil Youssef Ajjak (32), a resident of Dike village in Bulbul sub-district, from his home in Al-Mahmoudiyah neighborhood of Afrin city. The reasons for Ajjak’s detention were not disclosed.
These incidents are part of a broader pattern of detentions in the Afrin region, targeting individuals with alleged connections to the former Autonomous Administration.
