The individuals, identified as Mohammad Jamal, aged 34, and Mohammad Mustafa, aged 29, were arrested while visiting the transport department in Afrin city to register their motorcycles. Noting that they were forcibly deported to Syria on July 26, 2024.

In a continuing pattern of aggression towards Afrin residents’ property, approximately 30 tents occupied by IDPs are refusing to vacate a property belonging to a Kurdish woman from the village of Mish’aleh in the Sharan sub-district. Despite a court ruling mandating their removal, the IDPs are demanding a compensation of $400 per tent and additional compensation from the local council for handing over the property.
