Our reporter in Afrin said that on Saturday, August 24, the “Sultan Murad Brigade” militia arrested Khabat Mohammed Hussein (born in 1983), a resident of Maabatli town and father of three. Hussein was detained in the city of Afrin, four months after returning from Aleppo, and was taken to an undisclosed location.
According to the reporter, Hussein’s arrest followed his filing of a complaint with local authorities in an attempt to reclaim his home near Al-Zaydiya Cemetery in Afrin, which has been occupied since 2018.
