afrinpost-exclusive

Our correspondent reports that Turkish forces stationed in the cities of Azaz and Mare’ in northern Aleppo countryside conducted intense and heavy artillery and rocket attacks past midnight. The shelling targeted the vicinity of Tell Rifaat and the villages of Sheikh Issa, Bailoniya, and Ain Daqna in the Shahba region of northern Aleppo, as well as Maranaz and Malkiyah in the Sharan sub-district of Afrin. The attacks resulted in significant material damage, but no casualties were reported.

Simultaneously, heavy clashes erupted between the Afrin Liberation Forces and the Syrian National Army (SNA) militias on the Sayyid Ali front in northern Aleppo. These clashes coincided with the deployment of substantial military reinforcements by “Failaq al-Sham” militia from the city of al-Bab towards Mare’, aimed at bolstering the front lines against the Afrin Liberation Forces following recent offensives by the latter.
