According to our correspondent, the “Military Police in Afrin” released Ahmed Mohammed Mohammed, a 41-year-old resident of the village of Jwaiq, west of Afrin, from the former Asayish prison in al-Mahmoudiya today. His release followed the payment of a $5,000 ransom by his family.

The correspondent noted that Mohammed was detained approximately 15 days ago from his home on Tishreen Street, near Al-Mahmoudiya neighborhood in Afrin, after being deported from Turkey. His detention was reportedly linked to his previous employment with the customs office at the Al-Ghazawiya crossing during the period of autonomous administration.
