A member of the “Firqaht al-Mu’tasim Billah” militia, originating from the city of Al-Rastan, attacked Kurdish citizen Ghassan Daoud, also known as Abu Barakat, aged 40, near the eastern entrance arch of Afrin yesterday, Sunday.
According to our reporter, the assault, involving severe beating and use of sticks, resulted in a head injury and a broken arm for Daoud, who was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment.
The reporter added that the attack occurred after Abu Barakat demanded the evacuation of his home, which has been occupied since 2018. Daoud had been forcibly deported from Turkey about a month ago and needed his house back due to his circumstances.
