The arrests occurred during clashes between the militia and an armed group from the town of Hayyan in northern Aleppo, in the industrial area of Afrin city.

Additionally, the correspondent noted that the “Military Police in Afrin” today arrested Kurdish citizens “Mohammed Majid,” 43, from the village of Ain al-Hajar in Maabatli, and “Khalil Haj Ahmed,” 47, from Jindires. The arrests took place near the Taqwa Bakery on the Trenda road south of Afrin city. Both men were deported from Turkey shortly after Eid al-Adha and were attempting to re-enter Turkey through a smuggler, who reportedly informed on them, leading to their arrest.
