Dispute with Militia Leads to Arrest of IDP in Afrin

afrinpost – exclusive

A mobile patrol of the Turkish-backed “Hamza Division” militia arrested an IDP named Jumaa Al-Mousa, also known as Abu Saleh, aged 60, near the checkpoint at the junction of Kokan village in the Mobata/Ma’batli town. Al-Mousa, originally from Tel Daman in southern Aleppo countryside and currently residing in Kokan, was taken into custody along with the confiscation of his vehicle.

According to our correspondent, Al-Mousa, who is engaged in sheep farming and trade, had been in conflict with the Hamza Division. The arrest underscores the absolute authority each faction of the “Syrian National Army” exercises within its controlled areas.
