afrinpost – Exclusive

A group of armed men robbed Kurdish trader “Ahmed Ali” on Thursday, July 18, while he was driving around the village of Midanki, according to our correspondent. Ahmed Ali, who is from the village of Qojuman, was accompanied by another person at the time of the incident.

The armed men stole approximately $2,000 USD and two mobile phones from Ahmed. After completing the robbery, they shot the tires of his car with a Kalashnikov rifle.

In a separate incident, an IDP from the rural areas of Hama forced “Abdul Rahman Ahmed” to pay $1,000 USD in exchange for handing over the house he had been occupying in the vicinity of the Hakim Building in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of occupied Afrin city.

Additionally, other IDPs have been stealing grape crops near the Bulbul town junction, despite complaints filed against them with the “Sultan Murad Division” militia, which occupies the village. The militia has not taken any action against the known thieves, who live in tents near the village.
