Our correspondent reports that armed members of the Al-Muwali tribe have been cutting down approximately 55 mature olive trees belonging to Rahman Rashid, a resident of the village of Fiririyah in the Jindires sub-district. The justification given by the armed group is that the trees allegedly belong to a PYD (Democratic Union Party) member.
Additionally, the armed men are engaging in extensive grazing of livestock among various olive fields around the village. The felled trees are being cut into smaller pieces of wood, loaded onto trucks, and transported to Idlib province on Saturdays and Sundays to be sold for profit.
