Our correspondent reports that a dispute erupted yesterday between the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia and the “Sultan Murad Division” over the collection of levies imposed on the wheat harvest from the fields of Qastal Kishk, Ister, and Tall Tawil, located northwest of Afrin city. The conflict led to the suspension of harvesting activities until an agreement is reached between the factions for profit sharing.
In a separate incident the day before, armed individuals set fire to a forest area near the village of Dikeh in the Bulbul sub-district and the surrounding areas of Mount Hawar near the village of Cheh in the Rajo sub-district. The arson took place with the knowledge and approval of the Turkish military, which has a fortified base in Mount Hawar near the village of Cheh, aimed at eliminating natural forests for military security purposes.
