Our correspondent reports that a gunman from the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia assaulted 75-year-old Hussein Moussa from Afrin yesterday afternoon. The elderly man had set up a tent near the Khazan camp in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin, which is inhabited by Baqqara IDPs. Moussa was taken to a hospital for treatment, and his tent was dismantled.
In a separate incident, an IDP from the Maarzafi family, originally from Khan Shaykhun in Hama countryside, recently sold a house he had seized. The house belonged to widow Sawliya Mamou from Kafardaleh village in the Jindires sub-district, near the arch in Aal-Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin. The house was sold to his cousin for $900 after it had been divided into two apartments, with no rent paid to the rightful owner for years.
