Our correspondent reports that on May 16, Turkish authorities arrested Abdo Sheikho, also known as Abu Shero, a 46-year-old resident of Jindires. Sheikho was charged with belonging to the Self-Protection Forces (Hêza Cewherî) during the previous autonomous administration. He had returned to his home in Jindires from Aleppo about four months ago.
Additionally, Nazmi Hamo, a 42-year-old from the village of Kafr Daleh who was residing in Jindires, was detained by a joint patrol of Turkish intelligence and police. Hamo was accused of being a member of the Asayish forces during the former autonomous administration. He had returned from displacement in Iraqi Kurdistan to his home in Jindires about six months ago.
In a separate incident, the joint forces of the Hamza Division and the Sultan Murad Division released Ahmed Hamada, a 48-year-old IDP and shepherd from southern rural Aleppo. Hamada was detained on May 14 near the eastern Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood in Afrin city for tending his livestock close to a military base. He was released after being robbed of four sheep and 300 Turkish lira.
