Kurdish Citizens Arrested by Military Police in Afrin

afrinpost – Special

Our correspondent reported that the “Military Police in Afrin” arrested two Kurdish citizens, Hussein Osman (38) and Mohammed Ali Bakr (42), from the village of Yalanquz in the Jindires sub-district. The arrest took place yesterday afternoon at the entrance of a residential building on Trenda Road in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin city.

According to the correspondent, the detainees had recently arrived in Afrin from Aleppo, where they had been displaced. Their intention was to cross into Turkey and migrate further. Two days after their arrival, a smuggler, typically associated with Syrian National Army militias, contacted them and instructed them to come out for transportation. However, the “Military Police” were waiting at the specified location, suggesting that the smuggler had informed on them.
