Afrin Post – Exclusive

A joint patrol by Turkish intelligence and the “Military Police in Afrin” arrested Kurdish citizen Khalil Ali, known as Abu Ismail, aged 58, from the village of Ali Kara in the Bulbul sub-district, early this morning.

According to our reporter, the arrest took place in Al-Mahmoudiyah neighborhood of Afrin, just a week after Ali’s return from displacement.

In a separate incident, the “Sultan Murad Division” replaced Abdul Khairo, the head of its headquarters on Tellal Street in central Afrin, with Barkhaz, a Turkmen native reportedly involved in drug trafficking according to local sources. Barkhaz has begun imposing new extortion fees on shops selling clothing, shoes, food, and other goods.
