Child Succumbs to Injuries Following Turkish Artillery Strike in Northern Aleppo

Our correspondent reports that 13-year-old Faris Khalid Ibrahim died this morning at Afrin Hospital in the village of Fafin in the Shahba region.

The child succumbed to injuries sustained during a Turkish artillery attack on Saturday, which targeted agricultural workers on the outskirts of the village of Samouqa in northern Aleppo.

Yesterday morning, Turkish forces launched a heavy and intense artillery barrage on the villages of Umm al-Qura, Samouqa, Tal Madiq, Tal Jijan, and the vicinity of the Shahba Dam in northern Aleppo. This assault resulted in severe injuries to two local children, 13-year-old Faris Khalid Ibrahim and 14-year-old Matar Fadel Ibrahim, both of whom were transported to Avrin Hospital in Fafin for treatment.

In a related incident, Syrian Army soldier Bashar Jabour sustained multiple injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment after Turkish forces shelled the Shahba Dam, Umm al-Qura, and Maranaz village in the Shara district of Afrin.
