Turkish military operations persist in the Afrin countryside, as reports indicate airstrikes on civilian areas. On April 2nd, a drone operated by Turkish forces targeted a residential property in the village of Al-Malikiyah, located within the Shara district of rural Afrin. The attack inflicted significant damage on the targeted house, yet fortunately, there were no reported casualties among the residents.
In addition, Turkish forces unleashed heavy artillery shelling on the village of Abbin in the Sherawa district of rural Afrin.
In response, Syrian regime forces carried out intense and aggressive rocket and artillery strikes on the villages of Kafr Amma, Al-Qasr, Al-Azbamo, Tuqad, Arhab, and Al-Sahara in the western countryside of Aleppo. This retaliation follows the killing of a soldier by an artillery shell, fired by the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” organization, targeting one of the Syrian regime army fortifications on the axis of the 46th Brigade in the western countryside of Aleppo.
