The Turkish forces escalated tensions by launching a concentrated and forceful shelling campaign on the perimeters of Tel Rifaat, Kafr Antun, and Ming Military Airport in Al-Shahba region, as well as, Kalouta and Al-Mayasa in Sherawa district. The precise extent of the damages incurred remains undisclosed.
Simultaneously, the Syrian army responded to this aggression by targeting militia positions affiliated with the Turkish-backed “Syrian National Army” in the villages of Kabashin and Basufan in the occupied Afrin region. The village of Al-Abzmo in the western Aleppo countryside also experienced artillery strikes, resulting in injuries to three civilians.
Furthermore, artillery bombardment by Syrian forces extended to positions held by the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization along the Qasr and Kafr Arma axis in the western Aleppo countryside.
