Pro-Turkey Militia Raids Village, Arrests Civilians in Afrin

On the evening of Friday, December 22nd, a military police militia patrol conducted a raid in the village of Dargirê\ Darkir, in Mobata/Ma’batli district. Three villagers were arrested on charges of previous employment with the Autonomous Administration institutions in Afrin province.

Our correspondent disclosed the names of the detainees as Mustafa Mohammed Ahmed (24 years old), Bashar Mohammed (22 years old), and Sabri Shasho (65 years old).

This incident follows the arrest of Kurdish woman Jihan Ahmed (39 years old) and her seven-year-old son on December 19th by the same militia. They were taken from the Ibn Sina Hospital in Afrin, where she sought medical attention for her son. The militia released the child after approximately two hours of detention, while the mother remains in custody with no clarity on the charges against her.
