The military police militia in Afrin detained on December 19th, the 39-year-old Kurdish woman “Jihan Ahmed” and her seven-year-old son.
According to our reporter, the incident unfolded at the Ibn Sina Hospital, where Jihan Ahmed sought medical attention for her son.
“While the militia released the child approximately two hours later, Jihan Ahmed remains in custody with no information about the charges against her.” the reporter added.
“afrinpost” has documented 17 cases of arrest and abduction throughout December 2023 until the 16th of the month. These cases include three citizens who recently returned to Afrin and seven teachers.
