afrinpost-Exclusive

This morning witnessed fierce confrontations, involving heavy and medium machine gunfire, between the Afrin Liberation Forces and militias affiliated with the Turkish-backed National Army on the Twayes axis in the northern Aleppo countryside. Both sides engaged in reciprocal artillery exchanges. Concurrently, Turkish-backed forces shelled the outskirts of Tel Rifaat and the village of Beiloniya in the Shahba region of northern Aleppo.

The Turkish forces also targeted the outskirts of the village of Kalouta in the Sherawa region of occupied Afrin, causing only material damage.

In a separate development, a suicide drone, attributed to Iranian militias, targeted positions held by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham organization along the Tadil and Al-Abzmo axes in the western Aleppo countryside. Additionally, a group of shepherds on the Tadil axis suffered casualties, resulting in the death of an individual named “Mohammed Barkat” and severe injuries to two others.

The report further indicated that several other suicide drones were observed over the villages of Al-Atarib, Al-Abzmo, Tadil, and Kafr Taal in the western Aleppo countryside.

It is noteworthy that Iranian militias recently introduced suicide drones into service in the western Aleppo countryside following human losses incurred in recent attacks by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
