Our correspondent in Afrin revealed that an IDP from Einjara, west of Aleppo, adamantly refusing to vacate the residence of local citizen “Ahmed Othman” in Afrin’s Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood.
Disturbingly, the IDP has gone so far as to issue threats of kidnapping or even murder if any complaints are lodged against him. Additionally, he staunchly denies paying rent as compensation for occupying the property.
Adding to the complexity of the situation, the IDP has divided the house into two sections and sold one portion to another IDP from his village for $700. The location of the residence is in close proximity to Saleh Al-Ali School.
In a parallel incident, an IDP from the Douma area in the Damascus countryside has sold the house of citizen “Ahmed Khader” for $900. The residence is situated near Dersim Hospital on Al-Vellat Street in Afrin.
