On September 12th, Turkish intelligence apprehended Kurdish citizen “Nazifa Yousef” along with her six-month-old infant, accusing her of working for the former Autonomous Administration in the occupied Afrin region.

“Nazifa Yousef,” also known as “Ahad,” is the wife of citizen “Kaniwar Mohammad” and is in her thirties. She was taken into custody from her residence in the village of Sheikhoutka in the Mobata sub-district and was subsequently transported to the Mobata town center in the occupied Afrin region.

It is worth noting that Nazifa’s husband, “Kaniwar Kamal Mohammad,” was previously arrested by a joint patrol of Turkish intelligence and the civilian police militia. This arrest took place on October 11th, 2020, during a raid on the local council building in the Mobata sub-district where he worked as a civilian employee. He was detained along with five other individuals and was subsequently released in January 2021.
